Our Story
Some iteration of what we now call Magis Consulting, LLC existed over the last 25 years. From analyzing large data sets, designing research protocols, overseeing federally funded research projects, empowering nonprofit and faith-based organizations to improve the health of communities with particular dedication to maternal and child health, violence prevention and community health improvement initiatives to extensive consulting, professional development, and formation work for Catholic health systems, Catholic colleges and universities, diaconal programs, dioceses, and parishes, Magis Consulting continues its tradition of forming persons for others in this new adventure.
With an overall commitment to bi-directionality, mutual engagement, and respect for all persons, Magis Consulting desires to create the conditions for people to be good and do good. Whether that’s through providing insights on study design and power sampling or leading a session of appreciative inquiry or teaching the ‘hows’ of clinical ethics consultation, Magis Consulting brings a unique, personalized approach to the consulting projects we undertake. Unlike other consultants, we don’t want you to call us about the same issue twice (maybe that’s why we still need full-time jobs!). Our hope is that we provide our partners with the tools and strategies necessary to fulfill their goals and objectives. We are excited to hear from you and how we might collaborate for good.
If you were wondering about the name Magis, it is pronounced “màh-gis” and means “more” or “greater.” Magis comes from Ignatian Spirituality and invites us to consider how we can be bold in the face of injustice, serve our neighbor more deliberately, to love our communities more fully.
