Facilitation takes skill and finesse especially when a facilitator manages sensitive topics like fatality reviews or other epidemiologic surveillance. Recently an organization requested training of personnel who facilitate fatality reviews. Mary Homan designed a two-hour training session and trained over 50 public health and public safety professionals in facilitating fatality reviews on behalf of a CDC T&A project using a workbook she created to assist new facilitators.
