Over 75 people ranging from hospice chaplains, nurse leaders, retired Sisters, and even a chief medical officer attended this 8-hour workshop sponsored by HSHS in Springfield, IL.

The human mind craves categorization, which makes finding patterns and lumping people together natural. Millennials, generation X, and baby boomers actually have many things in common and are more than their associated generational label. It’s time to ditch the labels and create a culture of intergenerational collaboration to foster communities of caring. This conference will assist participants to identify the tensions that exist within an intergenerational workforce; address the positive impact that intergenerational relationships have on health care; and practice approaches for intergenerational inclusion to foster communities of caring.
